Happy New Year! Welcome to The Gray.
I was recently asked why I chose to call this magazine The Gray. There is a quote by entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk that I love: "The world isn't black and white. All the magic is in the gray."
The most interesting things about life and the world we live in rarely fit into neat categories. While we often seek clear answers—right or wrong, black or white—the most intriguing, transformative ideas emerge from the gray areas in between.
Gray areas invite curiosity. They push us to ask questions rather than settle for surface explanations. They encourage critical thinking, adaptability, and a broader perspective on the world around us. By engaging with obscure areas of study that resist common categorization—superstitions, legends, folklore, the paranormal—we cultivate a deeper understanding of human nature, complexity, nuance, and interconnectedness.
It is my hope that this publication celebrates the value of uncertainty, the power of collective exploration, and all the magic that exists in the gray.
